| 303 British; good bore, good stock, 25.25'' barrel, M47C (BSA) manufacture dated 1943. Matching serial numbers on bolt and magazine. Number on forend is illegible. The metal has the remains of a "stoved" black paint finish. MKI mill.ed adjustable rear sight. Most small parts are of British mfr except the upper band and magazine follower which are Savage "S" marked. Small import markings on the left side of the receiver. Asterisk marking on top of the receiver ring indicating corrosion in the bore. Original 1942 dated web sling attached. S marked on the heel of the buttstock for "Short" length. #1 marked bolt head. Mechanically fine, the bore has strong 5 groove rifling showiing light corrosion throughout., s/n 352xxA |
