| 16 GA; good bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Manufactured in Belgium ca.1889. Browned Damascus barrels with 2 9/16 inch chambers, Improved Cylinder and Open choked. Casehardened frame and back lockplates now aged mostly bright. Fancy walnut checkered stock with bone grip and fine checkered bone buttplate. Checkered splinter forearm with push button release. Engraved on top of the left barrel "LOUIS DELP, HOF-BUCHSENMACHER" and on top of the right barrel "IN DARMSTADT.". Frame and lockplates fine engraved with English scroll and game scenes. Gold wire border inlay around barrel chambers. There is some scattered light spotting on the metal, mainly on the sides of the barrels chambers. Stock has a small old chip at the toe. Actions function fine. Slight up/down play in barrel lockup., s/n 153xx |
