| Original WW2 era 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger, manufactured by Max Weyersberg, WMW / Waffen logo. 9 3/4 inch blade is in good condition, showing some minor toning/discoloration. 14 1/2 inch OAL, showing some oxidation on the guard and pommel. The braided wire on the orange handle is a bit loose, and there is a tiny chip at the point of the wire groove at the pommel. Original silver braided portepee (knot) attached which is in excellent condition, no frays. The scabbard shows oxidation overall with three or four small dents. No interference with blade insertion. Original hanger is attached, clasps are marked with a halmarked circle A. Clasp show oxidation with the cloth straps intact and in good condition, showing some age but no damage or frays. No signs of cleaning, 100% original. |
