| 38/56; 80% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured in 1898 ANTIQUE Here's a great old Marlin that's in very nice condition. This old girl handles the .38-56, one of the original chamberings, and wears a 26" full octagon barrel, with Rocky Mt. Blade front sight, the rear sight is a buckhorn. The top of the barrel has MARLIN FIRE ARMS CO NEW- HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. /Patented Oct. 11, 1887 April 2, 1889, August 1, 1893 The receiver has been drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The tang is stamped MODEL 1895. The barrel and magazine retain most of their original finish, with mild thinning and edge wear the stocks are sound and free of any cracks or repairs., s/n 1713xx |
