| 8mm Mauser; 75% blue, good bore, poor stock, 26.5'' barrel, Manufactured in Germany circa 1920s. Mauser 98 surplus military action. Blue finish, mounted in a european walnut stock with checkered grip and cheekrest. Crown/N proofs. Ramped fixed front sight. Fixed rear sight with one folding and one fixed leaf. Simple border engraving on the receiver and trigger guard/floorplate. Matching number bolt. The metal finish shows some wear. The stock has a minor tight crack behind the receiver tang, with cracks on the left side in the areas above the front and rear of the trigger guard. Also small cracks on both side of the stock toe. Mechanically fine. The bore has shine and strong rifling with a tight muzzle, showing scattered spots of rust. C&R/FFL, s/n 12xx |
