| 8x57mm; 82% blue, very good bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Mauser manufacture, stamped on top of the receiver ring with an eagle/135 proof over the code "byf", and date 42. Original blued finish. Laminated stock and handguard are not matching, but match each other, stamped inside the barrel channel. Stock is stamped on the right side with a single eagle/WaA135 proof, with another on the front of the grip. Cupped buttplate with "bpr" code. Numbered metal parts are matching including the complete bolt. The upper H band is un-numbered and un-proofed. Milled small parts. Missing the front trigger guard small lock screw. No import markings. The metal finish is thinning overall with rust spotting and some areas of pin prick pitting. Original front sight hood and cleaning rod. The bore is bright with fairly sharp rifling, with some visible light corrosion in the grooves., s/n 2xxq |
