| 8x57mm; 92% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Stamped on top of the receiver with an eagle/135 proof, "byf" Mauser code and date 44. Original blued finish. Laminated stock with a clear eagle/WaA286 proof. Stock has a matching serial number stamped on the left side, done by what ever country the rifle ended up in after the war. Walnut handguard, unmarked. Cupped buttplate. Eagle/swaz military acceptance marks located on the left side of the barrel and receiver ring. A single eagle/135 proof is stamped on the right side of the rear sight sleeve. Two eagle/135 proofs stamped on the right side of the receiver ring. Numbered parts are matching to include the complete bolt, floorplate and upper band. Stamped trigger guard and floorplate, both stamped with the Mauser byf code and eagle/135 proofed. Stamped welded upper and lower bands. Original front sight hood and cleaning rod. No import marks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling., s/n 128xx |
