| 30 Mauser; 80% blue, good grips, 5.5'' barrel, Rig, complete with the matching holster stock and WW1 dated leather harness. The pistol retains original blued finish whiich shows age with wear and thinning on high points, fading and light spotting overall. Scratches on the sides of the frame and bottom of the magazine base. Numbered parts are matching including the walnut grips. Visible fire blue finish on some small parts. Fixed front sight and tangent rear sight graduated 100-1000 meters. Standard Mauser Oberndorf markings on top of the chamber, Crown/U proof on the left side of the receiver, Ulm antler mark on the right side of the receiver, as well as British proofing. The bore had been reamed out, and retains markings on the bottom of the barrel "7.63 MAUSER SMOOTHBORE" with crown/BNP proofs. The pistols bore has since been relined and rifled. The stock is matching, stamped on top of the attaching iron. The stock shows quite a bit of handling with a crack on the left side running from the hinge plate forward for about 5.5 inches. The leather harness is in good intact condition, does show its age, and is maker marked and dated on the back "L. RITGEN / KARLSRUHE / 1918". Also marked on the front and reverse "LZA / eagle / J.KARLSRUHE". Original cleaning rod with wooden handle is in place in the pouch on the leading edge. Antique., s/n 31xx |
