| 22 Caliber; 98% blue, excellent bore, excellent stock, 26'' barrel, FROM THE PRIVATE COLLECTION OF ROBERT SIMPSON COMES THIS BEAUTIFUL MAUSER DSM-36. THE BLUING IS EXCELLENT SHOWING VERY LIGHT MUZZLE WEAR WITH SOME FRECKLING ON THE TRIGGER GUARD. THE BOLT IS NON MATCHING WHICH IS COMMON FOR A VET BRINGBACK. ALSO NOTE THE LINE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BUTTSTOCK. WE BELIEVE THIS WAS DONE BY A GI ANTICIPATING DOING A DUFFLE CUT AND THEN FIGURED OUT A WAY TO GET IT HOME WITHOUT A DUFFLE CUT. THE ELM STOCK IS NEAR FLAWLESS EXCEPT FOR A COUPLE OF COMPRESSION DENTS BETWEEN THE BANDS. THIS LATE EXAMPLE ALSO EXHIBITS VERTICLE EAGLE N PROOFS. COMES WITH AN EXCELLENT SLING., s/n 506xx |
