| 8x57mm; fair bore, fair stock, 29'' barrel, Metal finish thinnedand aged to an even gray patina overall with dark spotting. Walnut stock and handguard. Matching numbers except the bolt, floorplate and follower. 1914/15 date on top of the receiver ring. Standard German Imperial proofing and military acceptance marks. No legible import marks. Stock shows wear and handling and has been cut at the end of the butt with buttplate re-attached. The bore is dark though rifling is strong. Muzzle roughly threaded. Mechanically fine., s/n 49xxa |
