| 8x57mm; 90% blue, very good bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Berlin-Lubecker manufacture in 1945. Original blued finish with a couple phosphate finished small parts. Laminated wood stock with a bakelite handguard. Numbers matching including the scope mount and stock. Scope mount is eagle/214 proofed. Stock has eagle/WaA214 and eagle/214 proof stamps on the right side of the butt and a tiny eagle/214 proof on the front of the grip and bottom of the butt. Eagle/214 proofs located on the left side of the receiver and on top of the bolt carrier. Original magazine with paint finish, aye code, eagle/WaAB43 proofed and K43 marked on the left side. Original cleaning rod and front sight hood. "dow" code ZF4 scope has good but slightly yellowed optics, post/crossbars reticle. Original rubber eyecup with filter lens is included, however has hardened and become brittle with age and is not recommended to be force mounted to the scope. Original leather objective cover with strapping and wooden plug for ocular lens rubber eyecup. External condition of the scope is very good with most of its blued finish. Adjustments functioning as they should. The stock is overall good, however there is a crack on the bottom running up from the end of the magazine for about 3", and a crack on the left side of the stock running back then forward from the rear of the receiver. Butt trap contains a gunmetal oiler, unmarked, and also extra small parts: firing pin, extension, extractor and extractor retainer. Also includes a USGI pocket manual which may be a reprint, has a price written in pencil on the front., s/n 86xx |
