| 8mm Mauser; 75% blue, good bore, good stock, 23'' barrel, Manufactured in Austria by Steyr and issued to Luftwaffe personnel. Original blue finish and walnut stock. All matching including the trigger guard screws, except the cleaning rod. Stamped on top of the receiver ring with the Steyr code 660 and date 1939. Eagle/WaA623 proofs on the receiver, wood and small parts. Luftwaffe eagle/L on the right side of the stock. All markings are crisp and clear especially on the wood. The metal finish shows thinning mainly out on the barrel and upper band. The wood has dings and scratches, and there is a chip on the bottom of the grip. The handguard has a tight crack on top ahead of the rear sight base. No sling swivels are installed. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling and a tight muzzle, showing some frost and minor pitting in the grooves. C&R/FFL, s/n 93xxa |
