| 11X60MM; 95% blue, good bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Mauser Gewehr Model 71/84 Bolt Action Carbine made circa 1887 in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the Amberg Arsenal. The receiver on this example is dated "1887" and has "R.L.R/B.29" regimental markings on the buttplate. The left side of the receiver has I.G.MOD 71/84 Sights on the 71/84 were a blade front that was drift-adjustable for windage and a ladder-style rear, graduated to 1,600 meters. The Barrel- Receiver and Bolt are numbers matching. The metal finish has thinning and high edges wear on the receiver. And the buttplate has scattered patina. The stock has been cut down and refinished. And the barrel has been shortened 7.5 inches. ANTIQUE, s/n 715xx |
