| Description: |
| 9x19mm; 85% blue, 50% straw, good bore, very good grips, 4'' barrel, Consignor notes state: The Finnish Army received a small number of 9MM caliber Parabellum M/08 pistols during World War 2. 56 pistols were bought from Belgium in February of 1940. By the summer of that year and additional 224 pistols were acquired for Army use. Also many officers of the Finnish Army had privately purchased their P.08 9mm pistols. This pistol appears to be one of those privately purchased, not having the boxed SA Finnish Army ownership mark. Replaced unmarked barrel. Blued finish. Checkered black plastic grips are original "black widow" variations in very good condition. Numbered parts are matching except the toggle pin and hold open. Aluminum bottom magazine with nickeled sheet steel body is unmarked. Crown/U proof on the left receiver, 1939 date over the chamber. Rear sight has been U notched. Finish on the barrel has thinned. Typical edg and high point finish wear otherwise. Mechanically fine. Import marked., s/n 56xxv, Catalog Number B-24 |
