| 9 x 57mm; 60% blue, good bore, fair stock, 23.75'' barrel, Manufactured in Germany circa 1920s. Mauser Gew98 military action with tapered lightweight barrel. Border engraved action and trigger guard, oval stippled receiver ring. Commercial crown/BUG proofs. Ramped fixed front sight, drift adjustable rear sight with one standing and one foldling leaf. The receiver has been drilled and tapped with Weaver #46 front and #45 rear scope bases installed. Used, thinning metal finish, the stock has a 1 inch crack behind the receiver tang and a small hairline crack behind the trigger guard tang. The bore shows frost throughout with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 72 |
