| 22 S/L/LR; poor bore, fair stock, 24'' barrel, Tube magazine fed slide action repeating rifle. Manufactured c.1912. Octagon barrel with fixed front and screw elevation adjustable rear sights. Plain walnut stock. Stamped on top of the barrel "MERIDEN FIRE ARMS CO.MERIDEN, CONN. U.S.A. / U.S. AND FOREIGN PATENTS APPLIED FOR.". Metal finish appears to have been removed at some point, with dark spotting and areas of pitting. Bore is dark and rough. Stock has a small crack on top behind the receiver tang and the forend has a crack at the back. Mechanically fine., s/n 12xx |
