| 38 Caliber; good bore, good grips, 3.5'' barrel, Manufactured c.1880's. Factory nickel finish with checkered hard rubber grips. Double action. 5-shot cylinder. Fixed hammer spur. Matching serial numbers. Stamped on top of the barrel rib "MERWIN HULBERT & CO. NEW YORK. U.S.A." over patent dates 1877, 1880, 1882 and 1883. Caliber designation "38 CAL" stamped on the left side of the frame. 90%+ nickel finish with areas of dark spotting and minor corrosion. Several handling scratches and tiny dings. Bore is fair-good, strong rilfing with moderate corrosion throughout. Action functions well. Antique., s/n 38xx |
