| 38 Centerfire; 50% blue, good bore, good grips, 3.5'' barrel, Manufactured c.1880's. Scarce blued finish. Checkered hard rubber grips. Double action with 5-shot cylinder and folding hammer. Matching numbers on barrel and cylinder. Round ribbed barrel with fixed sight, stamped on top of the rib with the Merwin Hulbert & Co address and patent dates 1877, 1880, 1882 and 1883 in two lnes. Caliber designation "38 CAL" on the left side of the frame. Metal finish shows wear and light spotting with most remaining finish in the more protected areas. Mechanically fine, bore has sharp rifling, has light corrosion throughout. Antique, s/n 184xx |
