| 12 Gauge; good bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Manufactured in England c.1880's. Browned finish Damascus barrels with matted rib and silver bead. Marked on top of the rib "MIDLAND GUN CO BIRMINGHAM". 2 5/8" chambers. Full/Full chokes. Casehardened frame and locks. Scroll and border engraving with game birds. Checkered walnut stock with round knob grip, 14.25" LOP with the original serrated horn buttplate. Latch release forearm with horn tip. Standard period black powder proofing. Shows age and handling. Thinned finish on the barrels with some rust spotting. Small repair to a crease on the side of the left barrel 7" from the muzzle. Trace color on the frame and lockplates. Both actions function fine and barrel lockup is good. Matching numbers. Antique, s/n 236xx |
