| 10.4mm; 80% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 34'' barrel, Scarce Swiss breech loading Milbank Amsler converted from percussion M 1863 in 1867. The lock plate has the maker "A. FRANCOTTE / A. LIEGE The barrel has a post front sight and the rear is an elevation adjustable unit. Just ahead of the rear sight is a Bern cantonal military property insp. Mark and the serial number 390. The bore is bright with no corrosion. The metal finish is very good. The barrel has slight thinning around the breech. The buttplate is numbered to the rifle. The walnut stock is in very good condition and has the Bern insp mark and the serial number on the bottom of the stock below the lock plate. It has two military style sling swivels. It has few handling marks,. The left side of the buttstock has the initials K+T on the right side is what loos like the makers stamp. The hammer is a little stiff. Import Marked., s/n 3xx |
