| 58 Caliber; very good bore, good stock, 39'' barrel, Conversion to .58 Caliber rimfire breechloading cartridge. Lock marked "PARKERS' SNOW & CO./MERIDEN, CONN." with 1864 date. The top of the breechblock is marked "W.H.& G.W.MILLER/PATENT MAY 23, 1865/MERIDEN MAN'FG CO/MERIDEN, CONN.". Metal finished in the white, walnut stock with three spring kept flat bands. US marked buttplate tang. Original ramrod. No legible markings on the wood. The metal has light spotting. The stock overall good, however has a crack on the left side at and above the front tie screw, and a 1" tight crack on the right behind the lockplate. The action functions fine. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Includes an original US marked bayonet in good condition. Antique |
