| 10 Gauge; fair bore, good stock, 29.75'' barrel, Manufactured in England circa 1880. Rebrowned Damascus barrels, casehardened frame and lockplates, mounted in checkered walnut with wedged forearm. British black powder proofing. 2 1/2 inch chambers, the barrels have been shortened to length. Side lever barrel break. Both lockplates are engraved "MORTIMER" and the barrel rib is marked "LONDON FINE TWIST". The actions work fine. There is some barrel play in lockup. The bores have pitting. Antique, |
