| 7.62x54mmR; 97% blue, good bore, very good stock, 20'' barrel, RUSSIAN M91/59 CARBINE THAT STARTED OUT AS A TULA ARSENAL 91/30 RIFLE DATED 1937. THERE IS SOME DISAGREEMENT IN COLLECTING CIRCLES ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF THESE CARBINES BUT THE CONSENSUS IS THAT THEY WERE CONVERTED BY THE RUSSIANS IN 1959. THOUGH VERY SIMILAR TO THE M38 CARBINES THEY ARE DIFFERENT. FOR EXAMPLE INSTEAD OF A CARBINE REAR SIGHT THEY HAVE M91/30 REAR SIGHTS WITH THE UPPER RANGE MILLED OFF. THE BLUING ON THIS EXAMPLE IS VERY GOOD SHOWING LIGHT WEAR ON THE TRIGGER GUARD ASSEMBLY. THE BORE IS SEMI BRIGHT WITH WORN BUT STILL GOOD RIFLING ALONG WITH OXIDATION IN THE GROOVES.
