Holler Solingen manufacture 2nd pattern Kreigsmarine dagger is overall excellent condition. 9.75" double edged etched blade is clean showing minor insertion marks. 14 7/8" OAL, gold gilt guard and eagle pommel. Damage free handle with tight braided wire wrap. Silver portepee is in Good condition with some minor fraying. Hammered gold gilt scabbard is in fine condition, some minor loss on the ring mounts. Original throat screws appear unturned. The catch functions well. Shipped in a contemporary padded felt lined blue leather covered display box for safe shipping. |
