| Eichorn manufacture, Himmler presentation etched on the blade, Heinrich Himmler presented these specially marked daggers to Waffen SS members for exemplary service to the Reich. 8.75" double edged blade in original condition, never cleaned, polished or sharpened. Does show the normal "drag" marks from insertion. There is a tiny fracture in the blade at the guard at one corner. The handle has a few issues with a shallow chip at the pommel and crack below the SS button. The side opposite the button has what appears to be a repaired chip. Original and proper scabbard is in excellent condition, early anodized finish with most of the protective laquer remaining. Ball tip is un-damaged. Guaranteed original and overall the best example of an SS honour dagger we have seen for sale. |
