| 12 Gauge; good bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Original browned finish Damascus barrels, casehardened frame, mounted in checkered walnut, forend with ebony tip, buttstock with checkered round knob semi-grip and side flats. Original checkered hard rubber buttplate, 14.25 inch length of pull. Boxlock action with double triggers, extractor. Light border engraving on the frame. Matted rib marked on top "NEW ERA GUN WORKS, NEW YORK, NITRO HAMMERLESS". Bottom of the frame marked "PATENTED AUG. 12 1884". 2 3/4 inch chambers with both barrels Full choked. Used, thin metal finish mostly patina with minor surface spotting over all. Matching serial numbers. Mechanically fine with tight barrel lockup. Bores have light pitting throughout. Exact date of manufacture not known. C&R/FFL, s/n 511xx |
