| 16 Gauge; very good+ bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Ajax model though not marked, manufactured c.1920's. Matching numbers. Marked on the left side of the frame "N.R. DAVIS & SON / DAVIS-WARNER ARMS CORP. NORWICH. CONN. U.S.A.". Steel barrels with Full chokes, the chambers have been reamed and gauge over 3 inches. Finish on the barrel has aged to a light brown patina. Originally caehardened boxlock action has faded to a spotting gray. Checkered walnut stock has an old refinish. Hard rubber buttplate with a 14.25 inch LOP. The acions function fine. Barrel lockup is a bit loose. The lower rib has been solder repaired for about 6 inches forward of the forend lug., s/n 143xx |
