| 12 Gauge; very good bore, good stock, 30.25'' barrel, Manufactured in 1898. Meriden Conn Damascus Steel marked on barrel rib. Light game scene and border scroll engraved frame. Matching serial numbers on barrel lug and trigger guard. Handmade smooth walnut forearm with aluminum hand made back plate. Original walnut stock, lightly sanded with a well done patch repair along the left side of the upper tang. 14 3/8 inch LOP. Metal has been cleaned of finish. Small dent on the bottom of the left side barrel 6 inches from the muzzle. 2 5/8 inch chambers with both chokes gauging about Improved Modified, the barrels having been shortened to length from 32 inches. The actions work fine. There is a slight bit of side to side barrel play in lockup. Antique., s/n 898xx |
