| 9mm Luger; 75% blue, very good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Original blue finish and matching serial number checkered walnut grips. All matching numbers. Stamped on top of the toggle with the Mauser code "42" and over the chamber with the date 1940. The right side of the receiver has two eagle/655 proofs followed by the eagle/swaz military acceptance mark. Magazine is a later black bottom fx0 e/37 proofed variation. Rig, includes an original leather holster maker code marked on the back "ftc/1940" over an eagle/WaA182 proof. The holster is missing the internal lifting strap and the flap hinge stitching is nearly all separated. Intials are carved onto the front of the flap. Also includes an extra original black bottom magazine and an unmarked takedown tool. The pistol is mechanically fine, showing high point and edge wear with areas of thinning finish. Also included is a laminated letter provided by the person that originallly purchased the pistol from the veteran who captured the gun. C&R/FFL, s/n 73xxz, Catalog Number M-171 |
