THESE WERE BUILT BY THE MASSACHUSETTS ARMS CO AND THE AMERICAN MACHINE WORKS AND DISTRIBUTED BY POULTNEY& TRIMBLE OF BALTIMORE, MARYLAND. THE BLUING HAS TURNED PATINA AND THE RECEIEVER JUST HAS FAINT REMNANTS OF ITS CASE COLORS. THE BORE IS BRIGHT WITH VERY GOOD RIFLING. THE BUTTSTOCK BEARS 2 INSPECTORS CARTOUCHES BUT IS CRACKED ON BOTH SIDES ON THE TANG.
