| 44-40 WCF; good bore, good grips, 7.5'' barrel, Manufactured c.1875-1889. Factory nickel finish and varnish finish walnut grips. Stamped on top of the barrel "E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION. N.Y. U.S.A.". Caliber designation "44" stamped on the left side of the frame ahead of the cylinder. Metal retains 95% of the nickel finish with most loss around the front and rear edges of the cylinder. Typical light handling scratches overall. Grips show some handling, the right panel with a small chip at the lower rear edge. Strong fairly sharp rifling in the barrels bore, light pitting throughout. Mechanically this revolver is in excellent condition. Antique, s/n 3xx |
