| 44-40 WCF; 80% blue, very good bore, good grips, 7.5'' barrel, Original bright blued finish and plain walnut grips. Generous case color on the loading gate. Original silver blade front sight. Single line address stamped on top of the round barrel "E.REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A.". Caliber designation on the left side of the frame in front of the cylinder "44", indicating chambered for 44-40 WCF. Mechanically in excellent condition. The bore is bright with strong rifling showing very little wear, some minor corrosion along the rifling grooves. Extensive handling marks and scratches on exposed metal. Most of the blued finish is flaking from the frame leaving a mottled finish. Small dings and dents on the grips. Althought this revolver exhibits handling wear, it appears to not have seen much actual use and retains generous original finish. Antique., s/n 2xx |
