| 45 ACP; excellent bore, excellent grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1943. Original parkerized finish and Keyes checkered plastic grips with narrow rings. Original fixed sights. Original blued finish Scovill magazine. HS blued finish barrel. 3rd type slide logo. NO prefix serial number. Right side of frame marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY". Sharp ordnance wheel escutcheon stamped behind the grip. Left side of frame stamped with the inspector mark of Frank J Atwood "FJA". P firing proof located next to the magazine catch button. Top of slide stamped with the P firing proof close to the rear sight. Narrow checkered hammer spur. Serrated slide catch, checkered thumb safety. Arched checkered mainspring housing. Mechanically fine. Pistol shows very minor wear and use with minimal cycling wear. C&R/FFL, s/n 13709xx |
