| Description: |
| 9mm Luger; very good bore, excellent grips, 5 5/8'' barrel, Manufactured in Morton Grove U.S.A., a copy of the Steyr GB pistol made circa early 1980s, stainless steel with checkered black plastic grips. Original 18 round capacity magazine. Fixed sights. Used, with light handling scuffs and scratches on the metal. These pistols suffered from quality control issues during production, were prone to malfunction and some consider them unsafe to shoot due to these issues. This pistol ended up in Germany and has German proofs with a date code IA (1980). This pistol seems fine mechanically, however we can not quarantee it to feed or function, and it is being sold as a collector item only. The back of the ejection port appears to have been filed on some by a previous owner, probably an effort to help ejection as this was a common problem with these pistols. Also the safety lever thumb piece has broken off and is missing, evidence of quality issues. This being said, these pistols were fairly low production, made in one of the first cities in the U.S. to ban ownership of firearms by private citizens within its jurisdiction, and hold a place in a collection as an example of a high capacity semi-automatic pistol made in the U.S.A. based on a foreign design. Includes the original box which is numbered to the gun along with the manual, in good intact condition. FFL, s/n 120xx |
