| 16 Ga/7x57mmR; 90% blue, good bore, good stock, 26 3/4'' barrel, Manufacture date of 1937 on bottom of barrel. This example has a scalloped boxlock design which is very strong with two locking lugs on the bottom of the barrels in addition to a "Greener" designed crossbolt. The barrel cluster is composed of 2 "Krupp Laufstahl" (fluid steel) 16 gauge 2 ¾-inch chamber with F/M choked barrels over a rifle barrel chambered in the 8mm Mauser Rimmed cartridge (8x57 J.R.) It featured a top tang-mounted selector which when on the rifle setting raises a rear sight blade on the rib with a zero setting of 80 meters, second sight blade operates manually and has no marking. It features a top pin rifle cocking indicator and side screw SG cocking indicators. Metal work has scattered heavy pitting. Checkered stock has mild handling wear, a couple chips and is missing pistol grip cap. It is mounted with cushioned recoil pad and leather sling., s/n 2551xx |
