| 12 Gauge; 70% blue, good bore, very good stock, 29 5/8'' barrel, Not a Model 8. Nr. 24 Sidelock double, as listed in an original 1912 Sauer catalog. Blued finish Krupp Essen marked barrels with 2 9/16" chambers. Improved Modified/Improved Cylinder chokes. Matted rib with dolls head extension and brass bead sight. Double underlugs, extractor. No Nitro marking so likely pre-1912 manufacture. Casehardened frame and lockplates, worn mostly bright. Rotating indicators on locks. Simple border line and floral leaf engraving. Checkered walnut stock with round knob grip and cheekrest. 14.25" LOP with checkered horn buttplate. Stock appears to be a replacement, well fitted to the gun. Splinter forearm with latch release. Matching numbers. Mechanically fine with good lockup. Light corrosion in the bores. Import marked., s/n 1005xx |
