| 36 Caliber; poor bore, fair grips, 7'' barrel, SAVAGE MODEL 1861 NAVY REVOLVER IN ANTIQUE GOOD CONDITION. THE BLUING IS GONE WITH SOME AREAS POLISHED WITH A WIRE WHEEL TO REMOVE RUST & PITTING. THE BORE IS POOR SHOWING HEAVY OXIDATION PRESENT AND WORN RIFLING. THE SMOOTH WOOD GRIPS ARE GOOD SHOWING SHRINKAGE ALONG WITH NUMEROUS LIGHT DINGS AND HANDLING MARKS.. THE UNIQUED COCKING MECHANISM FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. THE TIP OF THE RAMROD ASSEMBLY IS MISSING ALONG WITH ITS CORRESPONDING BARREL LATCH. THESE SAVAGE REVOLVERS WERE USED BY BOTH SIDES DURING OUR CIVIL WAR WITH SOME 20,000 UNITS PRODUCED. |
