| 303 CAL; 60% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 22'' barrel, This rifle has been refinished and lightly sanded. The left shoulder of the barrel is marked “Savage Hi-Pressure Steel / -Model 1899- “. The top of the barrel is marked “Manufactured By Savage Arms Corp. Utica, N.Y. U.S.A. / PAT- Feb.7.1893 July 25.1893 Oct.3.1899.” and “SAV .303” The front sight is a SHEARD that was produced for the Sheard Sporting Goods Store in Tacoma Washington in the early 20th century. Sheard is stamped on the sight. The Savage factory rear elevator sight. The metal finish has scattered thinning overall and high edge wear. The stocks are dark walnut with a varnished finish. The buttstock has a curved “Perch Belly” underside and a crescent blued steel buttplate. The forend has a Schnabel tip. The buttstock has a couple of scrapes and mild handling marks. The forearm has a couple of compression creases. Included are two boxes of Jamison Brass and Ammunition 303 SAVAGE 150Gr 20 rounds per box. Total 40 Rounds, s/n BO0xx |
