| .36; Excellent bore, Excellent + grips, 7'' barrel, U.S. Civil War Savage 1861 Navy Model .36 Caliber Pistol. Made from 1861 until 1862 with a total production of only 20,000 guns. Used by both sides during the American Civil War. Unique in appearance and is only comparable to its predecessor, the Savage 1859 Figure Eight. Both are recognized by its use of a kind of "proto double-action" with a second trigger underneath the first. When this trigger is pulled it cocks the hammer. The serial number is 5064, located underneath the wooden grips. This Savage 1861 is in excellent condition and has taken a on a grey patina.
