| fair bore, good grips, 15 7/8'' barrel, Issued during WW2, based on the WW1 era MKIII signal pistol with an extended barrel with handle for firing lines between ships, also seen in use in India for throwing lines between outposts in the mountainous regions. Brass construction with steel small parts and walnut grips. Steel barrel extension painted tan, the front bar on the handle has a ranging level which in functioning. Stamped on the left side of the frame "SCHERMULY'S/PATENT No 503324". The left side of the frame has severla British military proofs. Shows use, mechanically fine., s/n 788xx |
