THE RIGHT LOCK IS INSCRIBED "R.S.LAWRENCE' PATENT/APRIL 12'TH. 1859" AND "C. SHARPS' PAT/ OCT 5'TH. 1852'. THE BLUING ON THE BARREL AND BAND IS HEAVILY FADED. THE RECEIVER HAS LOST ITS CASE COLORS. THE FAIR BORE RETAINS DISTINCT RIFLING WITH CORROSION THROUGHOUT. THE WALNUT BUTTSTOCK IS SOLID SHOWING NUMEROUS DINGS AND HANDLING MARKS. THE FOREARM SHOWS NUMEROUS DINGS AND SCRATCHES. |
