THE RIFLE IS REFERENCED ON PAGES 175/180/182 IN MR SIMPSONS BOOK "TRAINING RIFLES OF THE THIRD REICH GERMANY." THE BLUING IS BRIGHT ON THE RECEIVER AND REAR PORTION OF THE BARREL WITH LIGHT FRECKLING ON THE FRONT PORTION OF THE BARREL, BANDS AND TRIGGER GUARD. THE BORE IS BRIGHT WITH VERY GOOD RIFLING. THE STOCK HAS LIGHT HANDLING MARKS AND BEARS A SMALL PLAQUE ON THE LEFT FOREARM WITH THE INSCRIPTION "ERICH BOCK HERFORD". THE HANDGUARD IS CRACKED FULL LENGTH.
