| 44 Special; 98% blue, excellent bore, excellent grips, 5'' barrel, Early post war 44 Hand Ejector model, S prefix serial, manufactured in 1947. Original blued finish and checkered walnut diamond grips. Fixed sights. 5 screw frame with hammer block and long frame. Casehardened grooved trigger and hammer with fine checkered spur. Matching numbers, matching assembly numbers. Stamped on top of the barrel with the S&W address and patent dates 1906, 1909 and 1914 in two lines. Bright fairly sharp bore. Metal finish has some scattered wear spots. Small area of surface rust on the cylinder at the front of one flute. Smooth action functions well. Our import mark., s/n S688xx |
