| 38 S&W; very good bore, excellent grips, 3.25'' barrel, Manufactured c.1880-1885. 97% factory nickel finish with checkered black hard rubber grips. Bright blued trigger guard 95%. Casehardened trigger and hammer. Matching serial number on the 5-shot cylinder. Stamped on top of the barrel rib with the S&W address and patent dates 1865, 1869, 1871, 1879 and 1880. Mechanically fine. The bore is bright and sharp however there is one small spot of corrosion visible about the center of the bore. There is scattered spotting and speckling on the metal. Small areas of nickel loss and rust on the top of the frame edge and bottom of the barrel strap behind the cylinder. Includes a period wooden display box with faded purple felt lined compartmentalized interior. Not necessarily for this particular revolver however the case is in Good vintage condition.
