| 38 S&W; very good bore, very good grips, 5'' barrel, Factory original nickel finish with checkered hard rubber S&W monogram grips. Blued trigger guard, casehardened trigger. Matching serial number cylinder. Manufactured c.1898-1907. Stamped on top of the barrel rib in two lines with the S&W address and patent dates 1880, 1883, 1885, 1887, 1888, 1889 and 1890. barrel T latch includes the updated knurled side knobs. Produced before the addition of the caliber marking on the barrel. Retains approximately 90% nickel finish with most loss on the cylinder and some on the grip frame. Grips show some smoothing of the details. Mechanically in fine condition. The bore and cylinder chambers are bright, some visible minor corrosion mainly near the barrel forcing cone., s/n 1342xx |
