| 44 Russian; fair bore, good grips, 6.25'' barrel, SMITH & WESSON 3'RD MODEL RUSSIAN REVOLVER CIRCA 1874/78 IN VERY GOOD RESTORED CONDITION. THE REVOLVER AT SOME POINT WAS PROFESSIONALLY NICKLE PLATED AND THE PLATING IS EXCELLENT SHOWING A FEW LIGHT SCRATCHES AND HANDLING MARKS. THE BORE HAS DISTINCT BUT WORN RIFLING WITH LIGHT OXIDATION PRESENT. THE BUTT HAS 1874 ABOVE THE SERIAL NUMBER. THE GRIPS APPEAR TO BE SOME TYPE OF BONE THAT HAVE YELLOWED WITH AGE. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE 3'RD MODEL ARE THE TRIGGER GUARD SPUR, LARGE SCREW ON TOP STRAP AND A FRONT SIGHT FORGED INTO THE BARREL. THOUGH REFINISHED THIS 3RD MODEL RUSSIAN PRESENTS WELL AND IS A HANDSOME. REVOLVER., s/n 32xx |
