| Description: |
| .45 S&W; 99% blue, very good bore, like new grips, 7'' barrel, 1876-1877 US Army Issue Second Model Scofield in .45 S&W caliber. This exceptionally rare condition revolver has been Smith & Wesson Factory Restored in 1949 (see S&W restoration date and star on frame picture) and remains in that 70 plus year ago " restored to new" condition today. Even the walnut grips are serialized inside to match, with sharp inspector/date impressions. All other metal stampings are sharp and deep as well, of course all mechanicals function just fine. Schofield revolvers were issued to the 4th Cavalry which saw service in the Geronimo Campaign and the famous 9th and 10th U.S. Cavalry comprised of the "Buffalo Soldiers" stationed in the American Southwest. Definitely an apology free Scofield here, add it to your collection, call us., s/n 42xx |
