| 50 Caliber; fair bore, fair stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured by the Spencer Repeating Rifles Co. in Boston. Rust patina metal. Walnut stock and forend. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a small "W". The top of the barrel chamber is stamped "M.1865". The top of the receiver is stamped "SPENCER REPEATING / RIFLE CO. BOSTON MASS. / PAT'D MARCH 6, 1860". 6 groove rifling. No Stabler cut-off. Fixed blade front sight, original V-notch ladder rear sight. 7-round tubular magazine in the butt. The wood is dry with dings, compression dents and small chips at borders with the frame. There are cracks on both sides of the stock toe. The bore has prominent rifling, showing corrosion throughout.
