| 45-70 Cal; 80% blue, fair bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Marked on the side of the lock plate, Eagle "U.S./SPRINGFIELD/1873". The breechbolt is marked "MODEL/1873". The varnished black walnut stock has no visible markings, has two cracks at wrist, nicks and chips. The tip of the forend has a crack on right side. Bore has corrosion. The barrel has turned plum with remaining metal is scattered patina with some scattered light pitting. The action works fine., s/n 139xx |
