| 30-40 Krag; 94% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Nicely built old school sporterization of the U.S. Krag M1898 rifle. Refinished metal. Mounted in a plain walnut full length stock with pistol grip and cheekrest which is fitted very well to the gun. Checkered steel buttplate. Barrel shortened to length with a sleeve added over the chamber. Serrated ramp fixed front sight. Vintage Redfield elevation adjustable rear sight with a selective aperture. Polished bolt body with very smooth movement. The original loading gate has been replaced with a flat gate, having a serrated latch release for loading the internal magazine. Very nice quality of work was done on this rifle. The stock is overall in very good plus condition showing minor handling, however there is a small crack on the right side of the toe. Bore is bright with pretty sharp rifling., s/n 1392xx |
